What is Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav 2025?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav 2025, a week-long celebration honoring Mahakavi Subramania Bharati’s birth anniversary. Scheduled from December 4-11, 2025, this cultural festival aims to promote India’s rich linguistic diversity among students.

Theme: “Many Languages, One Emotion”

This year’s compelling theme highlights the unity that connects India’s varied linguistic traditions. The festival motivates students to recognize how various languages convey common emotions and cultural values, thereby enhancing national unity through linguistic inclusiveness.

Daily Themes and Activities

Each day features unique themes:

  • Day 1 (Dec 4): Language Tree Display & Heritage Wall
  • Day 2 (Dec 5): Poetry & Music Across Languages
  • Day 3 (Dec 6): Festivals of Many Tongues & Language Podcasts
  • Day 4 (Dec 8): Unity in Proverbs & Bhasha Mitra Collaboration
  • Day 5 (Dec 9): Bhasha Bandhu Letters & Story Chains
  • Day 6 (Dec 10): Language Exploration Clubs
  • Day 7 (Dec 11): Interactive Bhasha Mela & Theatre Showcase
