आज के Students को Skills and Academics दोनों की ज़रूरत क्यों है?

प्रिय Parents और Students,

Education के field में रहते हुए, countless classrooms में जाने के बाद, और हजारों students को real world में कदम रखते देखने के बाद, मुझे कुछ ऐसा share करने की ज़रूरत महसूस होती है जो आपको जानना बहुत जरूरी है। A combination of Skills and Academics, यह हमारे बच्चों के future के बारे में है, और मैं चाहता हूं कि आप इसे सिर्फ principal perspective के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि एक ऐसे व्यक्ति के रूप में सुनें जो genuinely हर student की care करता है।

क्यों हमारे बच्चों को “Complete” Students बनने की ज़रूरत है

वो Wake-Up Call जो मुझे मिला

मैं आपको Priya (name changed) के बारे में बताता हूं। वह हमारे school की topper थी, board exam में 98% marks लाई थी। उसकी notebooks बिल्कुल perfect थीं, उसके answers textbook-perfect थे। हम सभी को उस पर इतना proud था।

लेकिन जब वह अपने पहले job interview में गई, तो वह freeze हो गई। सभी answers जानते हुए भी, वह confidently बोल नहीं पाई। Stage fear, जिसे उसने हमेशा स्कूल में ignore किया। कभी participation में interest नहीं दिखाया, उसकी सबसे बड़ी obstacle बन गया।

फिर Arjun है, जिसने 82% score किया था लेकिन सैकड़ों लोगों के सामने fearlessly बोल सकता था, खुद से coding सीख ली थी, और real problems solve करना जानता था। आज वह एक successful startup चला रहा है।

यह contrast मुझे haunt करता है। इसने मुझे realize करा दिया: हम students को exams के लिए prepare कर रहे थे, life के लिए नहीं।

आज की World की Reality

जिस world में हमारे बच्चे step कर रहे हैं, वह बिल्कुल different है। जब मैंने अपना career start किया था, तो एक good degree काफी थी। आज, यह सिर्फ entry ticket है। असली game उसके बाद start होता है।

Employers सिर्फ ऐसे students नहीं चाहते जो formulas memorize कर सकें। वे ऐसे young people चाहते हैं जो:

• अपने ideas clearly communicate कर सकें
• Confidently stand करके अपना work present कर सकें
• Critically think कर सकें और unexpected problems solve कर सकें
• Teams में work कर सकें और जरूरत पड़ने पर lead कर सकें
• New technologies और situations के साथ adapt हो सकें
• Pressure को बिना crumble किए handle कर सकें

और यहां मैंने जो सीखा है

Academic excellence और practical skills enemies नहीं हैं। वे पक्षी के दो पंख हैं। हमारे बच्चों को fly करने के लिए दोनों की ज़रूरत है।

एक “Complete Student” कैसा दिखता है?

मैं आपको एक picture paint करता हूं जब मैं एक truly prepared student के बारे में सोचता हूं:

The Academic Foundation (शैक्षिक नींव)

हां, books important हैं। Theory matters करती है। Concepts को deeply समझना, homework sincerely करना, exams के लिए well prepare करना—यह सब discipline, knowledge, और analytical thinking build करता है।

मैं एक moment के लिए भी यह नहीं कह रहा कि हम academics को ignore करें। एक strong academic base non-negotiable है। इसे किसी भी कंडीशन में ignore नहीं जा सकता। Academic performance फर्स्ट स्टेज का पार्ट है।

लेकिन यहां हमें इसमें क्या add करना चाहिए:

The Complete Skill Set

एक complete student को होना चाहिए:

1. Confident और Fearless (आत्मविश्वासी और निडर)

Imagine करो एक ऐसा child जो बिना fear के किसी भी room में walk कर सके, जो लोगों की eyes में देख सके और खुद को clearly express कर सके। यह confidence textbooks से नहीं आता—यह practice, encouragement, और opportunities से आता है।

2. Free from Stage Fear (स्टेज के डर से मुक्त)

मैंने brilliant students को presentations के दौरान shake करते देखा है। हमें ऐसे safe spaces create करने होंगे जहां mistakes करना okay हो, जहां दूसरों के सामने speaking उतना ही natural हो जाए जितना breathing।

3. Excellent Communicators

चाहे वह किसी concept को explain करना हो, presentation देनी हो, या simply बातचीत करनी हो—हमारे students को articulate होना चाहिए। Hindi और English दोनों में, उन्हें effectively express करना आना चाहिए।

मैंने देखा है कि जो students अच्छे से communicate कर सकते हैं, वे interviews में, group discussions में, और workplace में बहुत आगे निकल जाते हैं।

4. Technologically Savvy (तकनीकी रूप से समझदार)

Future digital है, यह तो हम सभी जानते हैं। जो students technology navigate कर सकते हैं, software use कर सकते हैं, basic coding समझ सकते हैं, और new tools के साथ adapt हो सकते हैं—उन्हें massive advantage होगा।

5. Problem Solvers (समस्या समाधानकर्ता)

Life answer keys के साथ नहीं आती। Students को on their feet सोचना, problems को creatively approach करना, और ऐसे solutions find करने होंगे जो किसी textbook में नहीं हैं।

6. Team Players और Leaders

आज की success Collaborative है। Students को यह जानना चाहिए कि कब lead करना है और कब support करना है, different personalities के साथ कैसे work करना है, और दूसरों में best कैसे लाना है।

Emotionally Intelligent (भावनात्मक रूप से बुद्धिमान)

अपनी और दूसरों की emotions को understand करना, stress handle करना, failures के दौरान motivated रहना—ये ऐसे skills हैं जो long-term success determine करते हैं।

मैं यह सब अभी क्यों कह रहा हूं?

क्योंकि मैंने बहुत सारे talented students को unnecessarily struggle करते देखा है। मैंने parents से years बाद मुलाकात की है जो मुझसे कहते हैं, “Sir, काश हमने studies के साथ-साथ confidence-building पर भी focus किया होता।”

मैंने job market को dramatically change होते देखा है और realize किया है कि हमारी education system lag कर रही है।

Current scenario demands completeness.

Companies excellent degrees वाले candidates को reject कर रही हैं क्योंकि उनमें soft skills की कमी है। Foreign universities well-rounded students की तलाश कर रही हैं, न कि सिर्फ high scorers की।

हम सब क्या कर सकते हैं?

Educators और parents के रूप में, हमें अपना approach shift करना होगा:

School में हमारा Contribution:

• हम ज्यादा practical activities, presentations, और group work integrate कर रहे हैं
• Students के लिए regularly publicly speak करने के opportunities create कर रहे हैं
• Debates, dramatics, और leadership roles में participation encourage कर रहे हैं
• Traditional subjects के साथ digital skills teach कर रहे हैं
• Knowledge के application पर focus कर रहे हैं, सिर्फ memorization पर नहीं

घर पर Parents का Role:

• अपने children को dinner table पर अपनी opinions express करने के लिए encourage करें
• उन्हें कुछ responsibilities independently handle करने दें
• Academics के beyond उनकी interests support करें—sports, arts, hobbies
• हर छोटी failure से उन्हें rescue मत करिए; उन्हें resilience सीखने दीजिए
• घर पर conversations, presentations, या public speaking practice करें

मैं जानता हूं कि बहुत से parents कहते हैं, “Sir, पर हमारे पास तो time नहीं है।” लेकिन देखिए, यह big things के बारे में नहीं है। Simple dinner conversations में भी बच्चे को बोलने का मौका दें, उनकी opinion पूछें, उन्हें सुनें। यह भी एक skill development है।

The 10-Minute Rule Parenting Technique for Better Connection

Research shows that consistent quality time reduces behavioral problems by up to 40%. Children who receive focused attention daily show better academic performance, improved emotional regulation, and stronger family bonds.

Students के लिए Practical Tips:

• सिर्फ marks के लिए मत पढ़ो; understand करने के लिए पढ़ो
• उन activities में participate करने के लिए खुद को push करो जो तुम्हें scare करती हैं
• हर year अपने curriculum से beyond कम से कम एक skill सीखो
• Widely पढ़ो, educational content देखो, curious रहो
• Speaking practice करो—mirror के सामने, family के सामने, friends के सामने, anyone के सामने

मैं अक्सर students से कहता हूं: “अगर तुम्हें public speaking से डर लगता है, तो सबसे पहले घर पर practice करो। अपने room में खड़े होकर imagine करो कि सामने 100 लोग बैठे हैं। बोलो, practice करो। फिर family के सामने try करो। Slowly-slowly डर कम होगा।”

Balance is Everything

मैं बहुत clear होना चाहता हूं: मैं students से academics और skills के बीच choose करने के लिए नहीं कह रहा हूं। मैं उन्हें दोनों को embrace करने के लिए कह रहा हूं।

• अपनी exams के लिए hard study करो, लेकिन उस debate competition में भी join करो
• अपना homework finish करो, लेकिन वह new software भी सीखो
• Tests के लिए prepare करो, लेकिन दूसरों के सामने presenting की practice भी करो

इसे ऐसे सोचो:

Academics तुम्हारे house की foundation है, लेकिन skills वो walls, windows, doors, और interior हैं जो इसे livable बनाते हैं। कुछ strong और beautiful create करने के लिए तुम्हें दोनोंकी ज़रूरत है।

Real Stories से सीखें

मैं आपको अपने ही school के कुछ examples देता हूं:

Ananya की Story: वह science में average थी, लेकिन उसने हर school event में participate किया। Stage पर host बनी, debates में भाग लिया, sports में active रही। आज वह एक multinational company में manager है। उसने मुझे बताया, “Sir, मेरी degree ने मुझे job दिलाई, लेकिन मेरे communication skills और confidence ने मुझे promote करवाया।”

Rahul का Example: 85% लाया boards में, लेकिन school में कभी किसी activity में नहीं आया। Interview में nervous हो गया, अच्छी company नहीं मिली। फिर हमने उसे counseling दी, confidence-building sessions में भेजा। आज वह better place पर है, लेकिन उसे struggle करना पड़ा जो avoid हो सकता था।

✓ हर student को speak up करने के chances मिलेंगे, चाहे वो academic discussions में हों या co-curricular activities में

लेकिन मुझे आपके support की ज़रूरत है

Parents और students दोनों की। यह journey together चलनी है।

आज के Time में ये Skills Non-Negotiable हैं

मैं openly कहता हूं—आज के competitive world में:

1. Communication Skills

अगर तुम अपनी बात clearly नहीं रख सकते, तो तुम्हारा knowledge कहीं छुपा रह जाएगा।

2. Confidence

Interviews, presentations, meetings—हर जगह confidence चाहिए। यह overnight नहीं आता, daily practice से आता है।

3. Technology

इससे भागने का option नहीं है। आज की हर job में कुछ न कुछ technology involved है।

4. Adaptability

Changes तेजी से हो रहे हैं। जो adapt कर सके, वही survive करेगा।

5. Critical Thinking

Google पर सब कुछ मिल जाता है, लेकिन उसे analyze करना, समझना, apply करना—यह skill चाहिए।

Parents के लिए खास Message

मैं जानता हूं कि आप अपने बच्चों का best चाहते हैं। आप चाहते हैं कि वे अच्छे marks लाएं, अच्छी job पाएं, successful हों।

लेकिन याद रखिए:

• Pressure डालना और support करना—दोनों में फर्क होता है
• जब बच्चा कोई risk लेना चाहे (जैसे कोई competition में participate करना), तो encourage करें, डराएं नहीं
• Failure को punishment के रूप में नहीं, learning opportunity के रूप में देखें
• Comparison से बचें—हर child unique है और अपनी pace से grow करता है

Students के लिए आखिरी बात

तुम्हें याद रखना है कि success सिर्फ marks से नहीं measure होती। Marks important हैं, definitely, लेकिन वे complete picture नहीं हैं।

Real success तब है जब:

• तुम confidently अपनी बात रख सको
• तुम problems solve कर सको
• तुम team के साथ अच्छे से work कर सको
• तुम नई चीजें सीख सको
• तुम failures से डरो नहीं, उनसे सीखो

और हां, यह सब possible है—अगर तुम effort करो।

Final Thoughts: Meri Dil ki Baat

हर बार जब मैं school gate पर खड़ा होता हूं और हमारे students को जाते देखता हूं, तो मैं खुद से पूछता हूं: क्या वे ready हैं? सिर्फ next exam के लिए नहीं, बल्कि उस world के लिए जो उनका wait कर रही है?

क्या वे पर्याप्त confident हैं?
क्या वे skilled हैं?
क्या वे balanced हैं?
क्या वे complete हैं?

यही वह education है जिसका मैं dream देखता हूं—
एक ऐसी education जो complete individuals produce करे
जो किसी भी situation को confidence से face कर सकें,
किसी भी problem को creativity से solve कर सकें,
और किसी भी field में competence के साथ succeed कर सकें।

Let’s make this dream a reality together.

• अच्छी तरह से जीने के लिए
